And may I present......

So-what do you think? Sean took it to the shop and put a super clear, super shiny car finish on it- so it will be able to live outside. Because I used a lot of darker blue, I worried about fading and what not.
When I was speaking to one of the organizers, she told me that she is hoping to get at least 200 dollars for each chair (during the auction). I just hope my chair isn't going to be the one that everyone looks away, doesn't make eye contact with anyone, and goes for fifty bucks. I won't be able to keep myself from wailing if that should happen!
So- May 10th-here we come!

I have the back of the kimono done, and part of one front. It'll be close, but I think it will be okay. Keep your fingers (and your knitting needles) crossed!

Your chair is amazing! There is no way you aren't going to get big bids.
It is a true work of art.
That is such a good idea having your husband finsh it. Perfect for back yard season -- which can start anyday now.

I think the chair is awesome. I'd pay $200 for it if I were there!

I think it's stunning. What an awesome job :) And the finishing was VERY good thinking, so someone can enjoy it anywhere they'd like to with a bit less worry!! Let us know how it goes!

Wow. There's no way you are only going to get fifty bucks for that. It's great. I'd have trouble parting with it if I were you!

wow, not only would I be proud to have that chair in my yard, I would call up everyone I know to have a party so they could see it!

It's your treater again! I've gotten some fun things together for your package and will be sending it out soon. I haven't been available to get to the post office as my new work schedule (the training part) required me to be ungodly busy during all normal post office operating hours lol.
