I was cruising around the blogs and found a reference to the new spring colours. A bit of searching and voila! The new colours. Hmmmm. There are three colours I can wear in the lot- the rose, the olive green and the dark slate. That's it.
It's going to be a LOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGG season.
Good thing I wear what I like, not necessarily what is in style! It is just difficult if I need to go and buy an outfit if the colours are locked in to what is "stylish".
Added later: LISA!!! I am so sorry- I forgot to add your name to the lovely ladies of Montreal!!!!! (serves me right for being interrupted-by my 10 year old- repeatedly-so I lost what I was doing) No excuse though-you are one of the lovelies of the Montreal Guild!!!!

Yup - it's all well and good to decide to buck the trends - but finding clothes that do so can be a chore. There was an awful blue-less period in the late 90's that lasted (seemingly) for years. Drove me crazy. Not a single blue object in a clothing store anywhere. I have this idea about getting back to sewing my own clothes now... or at least overdyeing some I already have and refashioning them. In an eccentric and artistic fashion. Because I have so much spare time on my hands!
Not particularly spring or summer-like, are they? Not to mention that the first 4 are just unwearable for someone like me whose food often jumps off the fork!
I can pull off the ones that aren't the very lightest. I'm pale enough without accentuating it.
I never pay too much attention to fashion or trends. I buy what I like and what looks good on me. If it is in fashion--great. If not, i don't care.
